Leipzig used to be Germany´s "little Paris" - home to artists like Richard Wagner and Johann Sebastian Bach.

Destroyed in WW II and neglected under communist rule, the city experienced a renaissance after reunification in 1990: today Leipzig is full of galeries and cafes.

At the moment Leipzig is famous in the art world - paintings attributed to the Leipziger Schule are sold for millions: Neo Rauch is maybe the most prominent star (pictures).

We´ll do a city walk, have a coffee at one of Leipzig´s famous coffee houses and you´ll have time to go shopping or visit a gallery (online guide).
