Rostock is one of the most beautiful cities on the baltic sea coast, with a history of more than 800 years (online guide):
You´ll get to see medieval as well as renaissance architecture. We´ll show you the port, the old town and will introduce you to "Fischbrötchen", the German aquivalent to fish & chips.
We´ll make a short detour to Warnemünde, a suburb with a beach at the Baltic Sea!
The train trip lasts 2 hours, but it is interesting: you´ll see northern landscapes and - maybe most important, you´ll see many places where time stood still:
Some of the towns that the train passes still look the same they did under communist rule. So you´ll get a first hand impression of how the former GDR may have been like.
