GLS Berlin, a five-time STAR SCHOOL GERMANY award winner, is led by a dynamic team of three women. We are the only language school in Germany with a 5-star campus featuring two on-site boutique hotels - right in the heart of Berlin.
Every year, more than 5,000 students from around the world join our German courses for adults and teenagers. At GLS, “Where interesting people meet” is more than just a motto - we connect cultures, creating experiences that inspire curiosity, and lasting friendships across borders.

A women-led family business
GLS was founded in 1983 by Berlin entrepreneur Barbara Jaeschke, who still leads the company, today with her daughters Dr. Verena Jaeschke (left) and Dr. Reemda Jaeschke (right).
Academic Director Marion
She guarantees top-quality instruction for over 5,000 students from around the world each year. All GLS teachers hold university degrees and make learning feel like a conversation: meet our teachers.
